Questions

Frequently Asked

What's the theme this year?
True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World. Kids will trek through the great Alaskan frontier — northern lights, towering mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers — discovering that Jesus is our faithful friend and steadfast compass through anything.
Is VBS really free?
Yes — completely free. La Viña covers all materials, snacks, and supplies. We never want cost to keep a child from attending.
Do my kids need to be members of La Viña to attend?
Not at all. VBS is open to every child in our community. Friends, neighbors, and visiting cousins are all welcome.
What ages can attend?
Kids entering preschool through 6th grade in Fall 2026. Unfortunately we are not able to accept younger (daycare-age) or older (junior high and above) children.
What about safety?
Check-in and pick-up require a parent or authorized adult listed on the registration form. Children will not be allowed to walk out of the building alone.
¿Hay personal que habla español?
Sí — La Viña es una iglesia bilingüe. Tenemos voluntarios que hablan español cada día de VBS. Si su hijo se siente más cómodo en español, no hay problema.
Can I drop off siblings of different ages together?
Drop off and pick up happen at the same check-in spot, but kids are placed in age-based small groups during the evening so each lesson and activity is developmentally appropriate.
What if my child has special needs?
We want every child to have a great four nights. Mention any specific needs on the registration form, and our team will reach out before VBS to plan together.
